Queen of Angels Catholic School continues its support for Filipino children in Mindanao

Lauren Luetgers, volunteer

On its 10th year long partnership with Queen of Angels Catholic School, Galing Foundation, Inc. received educational resource materials last June 3, 2016.

These donated books are now being shipped to be made available to children of South Cotabato and Sarangani Province in Mindanao. "It gives us great pleasure and great delight to help young upcoming readers in the hopes of making them fluent in English and become lifelong readers and lovers of books."- S. Van Rooyen

Queen of Angels Catholic School's mission and philosophy is Christ centered, and its goal is to live according to God's will and the teachings of Jesus, with the power of the Holy Spirit, as they meet the spiritual, academic, social and emotional needs of each student.

GFI wish to thank the families of Queen of Angels, Sue Van Rooyen (Media Specialist), Maureen Harkins ( Media Assistant), Julie Smith (Curriculum Director)and Sandra Spaeth (Administrative) for designating its resources to benefit the Filipino children supported by the organization.

The shipment of donated material would not be possible without the financial support from members of Cross of Life Lutheran Church, GFI friends and Combined Federal Campaign Fund
