Alpharetta, GA---- Altobeli's owner Al Bashir could not be happier when several guests poured into the restaurant to experience the artistry of some great and generous talents namely, Kaley Hecht, Soli Nicolson and Rod, Toni Nardiello, Katie Zimmerman, Shin Zimmerman, Randy Barnes, Christine Villano and Faith Ward, who are from the local community.
Galing Foundation, Inc.'s "Languages of Love" benefit show raised almost $1,000.00. Toni Daya-Luetgers Founder and Executive Director, could not be more grateful to all their supporters. "Each and every person in the room at the night of the benefit show, demonstrated a very meaningful, worthy and exciting way of caring for the growing number of Filipino children who deperately need help in education."
GFI spends 90% of the monies raised in shipping cost and 10% in supplies and fundraising. The young Foundation is a 100% volunteer but highly driven organization whose mission is to promote the importance of English and functional literacy among indigent Filipino children through practical and effective means.
Guest feedback were:
“ As I sat in the audience marveling at the talents and the spirit of generosity of the performers and the audience I realized that we were there celebrating the beauty of the human spirit. The part of us that were divinely created to show love and support to our fellow man. It is an opportunity to reach across the continent to invest in the lives of others. I am humbled to a small part of Galing’s efforts. “--M. Hecht, Attorney-at-Law
"What a great way to help indigent children and to showcase the young talents we have in Atlanta. It was also nice to relax after a stressful day at work to get together with old friends and sing along to familiar songs." --- Roni Buenaventura, PACCGA past pres.
"It was a pleasurable way of spending an evening with friends, a pleasurable way to unwind after a hard day's work. A little donation to a cause on the side did not hurt any, but made us feel good that while enjoying the evening we were helping and promoting a cause, that of helping children in the rural Philippines. Thanks for the opportunity."--- Didi O'Connor, Harry Norman Realtor and PACCGA past pres.
"It was another night of success, enjoyment and friendship. In my opinion everyone enjoyed the performance and especially the performers. Good job." --- Esther Wilson, Northwest Philam, pres.
Many thanks to the following donors: R. Buenaventura, J. Nardiello,
