March 24 - The Northwest Philam headed by May Kinnunen, founded by Esther Wilson hosted its annual Easter Egg Hunt picnic and Galing Foundation, Inc. book drive. Despite the weather, many families with their small children showed up for the Easter Egg Hunt, games and the delicious home cooked Filipino dishes. Friends and families of NW Philam donated several new and gently used children's books, dictionaries and school supplies to benefit Filipino students of Cornerstone Baptist Deaf Academy in Tarlac, Limelifew Elementary School and Amado M. Quirit Sr. National High School in Sarangani Province (Mindanao).
